How to import my Emirates Airline roster/schedule into LogTen Pro?
Older versions of LogTenPro Mac had a bug that prevented the Schedule Importer from working right. This has now been fixed, so make sure you use at least version 5.5.7.
To import your roster into LogTenPro, go one of two ways:
1.) Monthly roster email from crew scheduling:
- Open your roster email, select all the text in the body of the email and ctrl-click and select copy or hit command-C on your keyboard

Open LogTen Pro and select "Import Schedule..." from the file menu. Select "Emirates" from the drop down list of available airlines and select "Times are local".
Next position the cursor inside the schedule paster and ctrl-click "paste" or hit command-V on your keyboard:

Then click "Continue"
You will be presented with a results window showing your first rostered flight:

- If you like you can scroll through the parsed flights and double check by clicking on the next/previous arrow icons. If you think everything looks right, click "Import".
Done! :-)
2.) Import from a PDF file generated through the portal
Importing from a PDF is a bit more convoluted but has the advantage of always being up to date if you had swaps or otherwise changed your original roster, as you can always generate a roster report PDF file using the portal.
- Log into the portal and select "Rostering Information" / "Flight Crew Roster". Then click on "Detail Report". In the following window click on the print icon. (For some reason this is broken in Safari 5, I use Google Chrome instead to do this).

- This will open a second window, click OK

Using Google Chrome, this will create a file called "CrystalReportRoster.pdf" in your downloads folder.
Open this file using Adobe Reader (You have to use Adobe Reader to do this, as the Apple built-in pdf reader Preview does not generate consistent data). You can download Adobe Reader here: http://get.adobe.com/reader/

Once the pdf file is opened in Adobe Reader, select "Edit" then "Select All" from the menu or hit command-A on your keyboard. Then copy everything to the clipboard using "Edit" / "Copy" from the Menu or hit command-C on your keyboard.
Pasting/Importing is then the same as using your roster email described above.
Done! :-)
If you use LogTen Pro iPhone you can now sync your phone to LogTen Pro and the scheduled flights will show up on your phone marked in brown with the tentative date/time prepopulated:
I hope this helps?
Have a great day!
