upgrade problems from 4.0 to 6.0
I just upgraded but the 6.0 won't recognized my data in log ten pro 4.0. I have tried to select the file were my privious log ten app was and I did find it but It will not let me open the file which has my logbook on it. Please help ... is there anyway to keep the info flowing or do I have to start again from scratch on 6.0.

Greetings,
You will absolutely be able to keep all your data, but we need to run the file through an additional step to make it compatible. Your v4 logbook is stored as a .ltps file extension, usually in your Documents folder. Please locate it, and then right-click and Compress it, which creates a zip file. Just attach the resulting zip file here, and we'll get it back to you in the latest format right away.
Cheers,
Tom

Thanks for the quick response. I could not locate the ITPS file extension. Perhaps its cause I have lion ? I did although find my logbook file and I compressed it. I really hope this can fix the issue. Please let me know what else I can do to help.

Hi Alex,
Thats the one, and it looks great! Lion must have hidden the file extensions by default.
I attached your logbook file, ready to migrate into the new version. Download the file, and unzip it. LogTen Pro 6 uses a different file format, so this file is no longer in use after you load it into v6, but I would suggest keeping it as a backup.
To open your logbook in the new version, open up LogTen Pro 6, and it will prompt you to choose an existing logbook file, or to start a new one. Choose the attached file and it should migrate your data and open your logbook.
If that doesn't happen, please close LogTen Pro 6, then open up Finder, press command+shift+g, and put in:
~/Library/Containers/
Then delete the com.coradine.LogTenPro6 folder.
Re-open LogTen Pro 6 and it should properly prompt you to choose a new or existing logbook file. Choose the attached file and it should migrate your data and open your logbook.
Let me know if you have any trouble.
Cheers,
Tom
