iOS11 and LogTen Pro version 6

If you have not yet updated to iOS 11

LogTen Pro version 6 is not compatible with iOS 11. If you have not yet updated to iOS 11, all you'll need to do is download our latest version of LogTen Pro for iOS on to the same iPhone or iPad where you have version 6 installed, and the first time you open it you'll be prompted to transfer a copy of your data. It's that easy!

Never fear, the transfer process is read-only and your version 6 data will remain exactly as it is. Here is some additional information on Upgrading to the new LogTen Pro.

Already updated to iOS 11?

If you have updated your device to iOS11 while still using version 6, the app will not be able open. Don't panic! You've come to the right place and we're here to help.

For LogTen Pro 6 iOS AND Mac Users

If you are also using LogTen Pro 6 on your Mac, you'll be happy to know that you can simply download our latest LogTen Pro for Mac to migrate a copy of your data, and you're just a few steps away from getting everything updated across all your devices!

Note: If your most up to date logbook is on your iOS device, follow steps 1-6 below to extract your logbook from your device, then migrate your data as shown in our Upgrading LogTen Pro guide.

For LogTen Pro 6 iOS ONLY Users

If you are only using LogTen Pro 6 on an iPhone/iPad and not on your Mac, you can retrieve data directly from your device using the free functionality in the iExplorer app.

NOTAM: Do not delete the version 6 app or try to re-install it. This will delete the data from your device.

About iExplorer

iExplorer is an app developed by Macroplant which allows you to browse and access files directly on your iOS device, without modifying the device in any way. From a familiar file system interface, you can retrieve files from the apps installed on your device, from backups of your device created in iTunes, or even from iCloud.

Step 1 - Create an iTunes Back Up

  • See the following article for instructions on how to make a Back Up using iTunes: How to back up your iPhone, iPad, and iPod touch

  • You’ll want to make sure that you have your backup set to save to This Computer and not iCloud, and then click on “Back Up Now”. Note that this may take up to an hour to complete.

Step 2 - Extract your data

  • Follow the Mac or PC instructions below depending on your computer

Finding LogTen Pro Data in an iTunes Backup on a Mac

  1. Download and install iExplorer.
  2. Attach your device to your computer via usb cable and open iExplorer. Be sure to click the button that says "Continue with Demo".
  3. In the left sidebar, select the target backup under "Browse iTunes Backups," and then choose "Backup Explorer." If a new backup needs to be created, it may take up to an hour to completely back up your device. Please be aware that making a new backup may overwrite older backups that you might have. iExplorerExtract.jpg

  4. In the list of backup items, find the LogTen Pro 6 folder by looking for an item like App - com.coradine.iPhone.LogTenPro6

  5. Expand the LogTen Pro app folder, and locate the "Documents" directory.

  6. Click and drag the "Documents" to your desktop.

  7. Once on your desktop, right-click (or control+click) on the file, and then select Compress. This will create a "Documents.zip" file that you can attach to an email to our support team.

Finding LogTen Pro Data in an iTunes Backup on a PC

  1. Download and install iExplorer.
  2. Attach your device to your computer via usb cable and open iExplorer. Be sure to click the button that says "Continue with Demo".
  3. In the left sidebar, select the target backup under "Browse iTunes Backups," and then choose "Backup Explorer." If a new backup needs to be created, it may take up to an hour to completely back up your device. Please be aware that making a new backup may overwrite older backups that you might have.
  4. In the list of backup items, find the LogTen Pro 6 folder by looking for an item like AppDomain-com.coradine.iPhone.LogTenPro6 iExplAppDomain.jpg
  5. Expand the LogTen Pro app folder, and double-click on the "Documents" directory to show the LogTenProData folder. iExplDocuments.jpg
  6. Select the LogTenProData folder, then click on the gear symbol in the upper right-hand corner (next to the "Register iExplorer button) opt to Export to Folder, and save it to your Desktop for easy locating. iExplPCExport.jpg iExplPCSaveDesktop.jpg
  7. Once on your desktop, right-click (or control+click) on the file, and then select Compress. This will create a "LogTenProData.zip" file that you can attach to an email to our support team.

Step 3 - Upgrade LogTen Pro

  • You will need the current app installed in order for our Support staff to send the data back to you. Here is a direct link to download LogTen Pro for iOS in the App Store.

  • Once you download LogTen Pro for iOS (it's a free download) our support staff can migrate your extracted data to be compatible with our latest version, then send it back to you for install. Once installed you can view, analyze, and run any report (or export) that you wish before you make a purchase. If you decide you love it as much as we do, there are several subscription options available to be able to add new flights and sync.

  • LogTen Pro version 6 owners have access to discounted subscription pricing, which can be over 20% off standard subscription pricing, every year when purchasing the bundled (iPhone + iPad + Mac) subscription option. Current pricing can be viewed within the app in the Store tab. More >> Settings >> Store.

    Please note that prices are subject to change at any time without notice. You will keep your subscription price until the subscription is cancelled for any reason even if pricing increases in the future.

Be sure to create a new Coradine account if you're using the new LogTen Pro for the first time and haven't already done so. It's a new system designed to help keep track of subscription purchases in the latest version of LogTen Pro.

You can create a Coradine account by opening the new LogTen Pro applicaiont on your iOS device and tapping: More >> Settings >> Account >> Sign Up. After you sign up with your email address, please verify your email address in the email you'll receive shortly afterwards.

On the Mac version, go to the "LogTen Pro" menu at the top of your screen then "Preferences" then Account >> Sign Up..
