What to do if LogTen Pro X for iOS Crashes?

Any app may crash and shut down on occasion. If this does happen, we want to figure out what went wrong and fix the issue as soon as possible!

If you experience anything more than an occasional crash, it can be tremendously helpful to send us crash logs from your device. Please be sure to let us know as much information as possible about what you were doing when the crash occurred (i.e. what you were editing, selecting, etc).

Although we are sent some logs automatically, there is no context to go along with them, and this context is often the key to fixing problems.

You can retrieve crash logs from an iOS device by syncing it to iTunes and locating them on your computer, or by accessing them on the iOS device directly.

Directly from iOS Device

  • Open the Settings app.
    • For iOS 8, iOS 9, and iOS 10, navigate to Privacy >> Diagnostics & Usage >> Diagnostics & Usage Data
    • For iOS 7 and before, navigate to General >> About >> Diagnostics & Usage >> Diagnostics & Usage Data
  • Select a LogTen Pro crash from the list.
  • Copy the entire contents of this crash, and paste it in an email to our support team

From iTunes on OS X

  • First, Sync your iOS Device to iTunes.
  • Open a Finder window, select the Go menu, and choose Go To Folder…
  • Enter this into the go to dialog: ~/Library/Logs/CrashReporter/MobileDevice/
  • In the resulting folder you'll see a folder with the name of your iOS device.
  • Next either locate the crash logs in this folder starting with LogTenPro or also feel free to send all crash logs, and we'll sort through them.
    • Select the LogTenPro crash logs, or select the entire device folder.
    • Go to the File menu, and select Compress... to create a zip archive of the crash logs.
    • Attach the resulting Archive.zip or Your-Device-Name.zip file to an email to our support team

From iTunes on Windows

  • First, Sync your iOS Device to iTunes.
  • Open a Windows explorer window, and navigate to this location: *C:\Users\AppData\Roaming\Apple computer\Logs\CrashReporter\MobileDevice*
  • In the resulting folder you'll see a folder with the name of your iOS device.
  • Next either locate the crash logs in this folder starting with LogTenPro or also feel free to send all crash logs, and we'll sort through them.

Thanks for your help!
