Extracting Data from an iTunes Backup on a Mac
There is a free tool that will allow you to access the iOS device's logbook file from the iTunes backup on a Mac. If you only have a PC, then see our FAQ for that here. The tool is called the iPhone Backup Extractor and can be downloaded here.
To get the data, follow these steps:
- Connect your iOS device to your computer with the USB cable
- Launch iTunes, then right click (or option-click) on the iOS device and perform a backup.
- Launch the iPhone Backup Extractor
- Press the "Read Backups" button

- Select the appropriate backup for the appropriate device and then press Done

- Select the application from the list and press the extract button. You are looking for com.coradine.iphone.LogTenPro for LogTen Pro iPhone or com.coradine.ipad.LogTenPro for LogTen Pro iPad.

- Select a location to extract the data.
- Go to the location where you extracted the data and go to the Documents folder.
- Compress the LogTenMobile.logten file and send it to us in a new support discussion.

NOTE the iTunes backups need to be unencrypted for this to work on our end.
