Migrating the iPhone from LogTen Mobile to LogTen Pro

LogTen Pro for the iPhone is here! But its a completely different program with a significant change in sync methodology. Following these steps should lead to a seamless migration process.

  1. Download LogTen Pro for the iPhone either directly to your phone or to iTunes and then sync it to your phone.

  2. If you do not use LogTen Pro for the Mac (aka you only used LogTen Mobile or Basic), make sure that LogTen Mobile or Basic remains on your iPhone for now. Don't delete it just yet - that happens at Step 8.

  3. Make sure that LogTen Mobile is not running in the background (iPhone OS 4+). To make sure its not, follow these instructions to quit the app under the new MultiTasking.

  4. Launch LogTen Pro for the first time. It should prompt you if you want to import flights from LogTen Mobile or Basic. Choose "Yes" if you only use our iPhone software.  During the migration process please ensure your phone does not go to sleep. Choose "No" if you have your flights synced to LogTen Pro on the Mac.
  5. If you use LogTen Pro for the Mac, then follow the directions on How to Sync Your iPhone.

  6. Once you have over 40 hours (synced, logged or imported) and you go to add a new flight, it will prompt you to pay for LogTen Pro.

  7. You'll be asked to provide your iTunes password and you will be charged through the App Store.

  8. Now that LogTen Pro for the iPhone has been paid for, you can safely delete LogTen Mobile or Basic and its data from your phone.

Important Note:

  • If you have already purchased LogTen Pro for the iPhone and you had to restore it, you can opt to "Restore Previous Purchase" in the screen depicted in Step 6.
